Under the services section. Just choose the sub-section that's most appropriate for the services you offer.

Just remember that you're only allowed to post to one section/city at a time and only once every 48 hours and that your previous ad must be removed before posting a new one...

Good luck!

I've post on Craig's it took 2 months before someone called. However, it turned out to be a short term gig. (research & database creation & management.)This was my first client & this is where I discovered some do's & don't of the biz.
Great learning experience.

I've posted my services on Craigslist a few times but have not gotten any clients from it. I also respond to part-time administrative assistant jobs on there. I let them know about my services and the benefits to outsourcing these duties.

I think Craigslist is a great place to find deals on stuff like cars. However, it seems like there are so many ads on there for services that people have trouble finding what they are looking for. On the flip side, you have nothing to lose by posting because it's free!

A question for those of you that reply to ads: Does the line, "Please do not contact job poster about other services, products or commercial interests," keep you from posting to certain ads (most ads)?

I don't have a lot of experience with Craigslist, and I certainly don't want to go about it the wrong way. Thanks!

It doesn't stop me from posting to ads. Craigslist has a lot of pros and cons. It is very user friendly and really cool because so many people do look at ads online these days. If you post an ad, just make sure to put it where people will be able to find it. If you respond to an ad, do be careful to check it out to make sure it's legitimate and not a scam because anybody can post on there.

The only place a VA ad should really be is either in the small business services section or the specific services section that is closest to what you do. ex: for REVAs, the real estate section might work. Or for those who offer bookkeeping, the finance section. But your best bet is probably small business.

I got a client off Craigslist, unfortunately he ended being C-R-A-Z-Y. I say it's worth a try, just be cautious. I still scan postings on there. Have had some great luck in other areas on there.
