Now, the fun begins...We all want visitors to our sites, the hard thing is getting them there. If you are like me, you are on a budget when it comes to marketing, so you want every hour spent searching, and every penny spent to be well worth it.

MerchantCircle.com is a great resource to anyone who has a website. The basic listing is free.. The week I put my listing up, it helped my ranking on google and yahoo almost immediately...You can post advertisements, blogs, coupons and soo much more..

Not only that, you can network with other businesses to advertise your business... Thats the great part..

That sounds very cool - there are so many social networking sites out there, but this one sounds like it's really geared toward business promotion, which is great (otherwise your profile gets swamped between the college coeds and the band profiles

I haven't gotten any clients from MerchantCircle, but it does take your site straight to the top in Google.. That alone is awesome!! Hope you do well there..

Hmmm, no good for anyone outside of the USA I'm afraid. You have to have a 5 digit zip code (we only have 4 digits in Oz) and you have to have a 10 digit phone number which is also not the case in Oz. Bummer.

I signed up a while back. Haven't seen anything come from it yet. I honestly don't know about the google ranking. How can you find out what your google ranking is?
