Any reviews of Team Double Click?
Hi all, I've seen a few mentions about Team Double Click on the boards and wanted to start a thread for them to find out what people think, what your experiences have been (good, bad or otherwise), and just get a general opinion on record here at the forums.
Thanks for your feedback!

Re: Team Double Click?
I passed all the tests and got to the phone interview. During the phone interview they asked me what hours I am available to work. I told them that I was available after 5:00 during the week, and on weekends.
The next day I received an email telling me they couldn't utilize my services because they needed associates that were available during normal business hours
This was 2 years ago before I started my own business. I guess things happen for a reason. At the time TDC was only paying their VA's $10.00 per hour, $15.00 per hour if you had real estate experience.

Re: Team Double Click?
I actually work very closely with a TDC franchise owner. She isn't happy at all with the way they're treating their franchise owners, and apparently they've gotten very harsh and demanding.
They are looking for graphic design people, but their rates are WAY below what I would like to be paid for my work that's done on that level. PLUS they made me take all the admin tests even though I was applying ONLY for graphics work. Not worth it. I wasted 45 minutes of my life. LOL.
I actually reviewed them on NCWBE as a favor to my friend, but my views have changed since then. I don't think I would be happy taking work from TDC at all.

Re: Team Double Click?
Once I passed all the tests, I was scheduled to have an interview. When I tried to have the interview, I got stood up so to speak. When I tried to call, I got voice mail after voice mail, no live person. I emailed, getting nothing. Later that next week, I got an nasty email from some guy there, it was terrible, saying I had missed my chance to be apart of a wonderful company because I had missed my interview( there was lots more he said, not going to put) I responded by telling him I didn't miss the interview, no one called. I again got another nasty email saying I would not be given another chance with Team Double Click.
I responded thanking him but told him their value system didn't line up with my or other VA's and I would now like to redraw my application.. I think their are foundational problems and my list of problems with them could go on and on...
Really, to be honest with everyone, after my experience with TDC, I looked more closely at how I dealt with clients... as I had seen how I didn't want to be. Definitely didn't want to be.
My advice to any budding VA... I would recommend they come to this forum, read the articles of what a VA is, how to be a VA, and how to deal with clients....

The press on them does not seem good at all.

Re: Team Double Click?
I've actually worked very closely with Team Double Click last year. I began my contracting work with them last year in March. At the time I let them know that I could only work approximately 10 hours a week because I was due to get married in June. After June they could schedule me for more than 40 hours if necessary. I actually worked directly with the "core team" as one of their HR Assistants so I have first hand knowledge of how judgemental and cruel they can actually be. The "core team" is what they call their team members that work directly for TDC.
Needless to say, one week prior to my wedding date I was told that if I could not provide them with 40 hours a week going forward that they would not be needing my services. I've heard about businesses being cut throat but really!?!?!?! One WEEK prior to my wedding. The sad part is that they KNEW that I was getting married when I was hired. It was a true showing of the professionalism that this company offers. They claim to be reputable because of the line of work but their work ethics are horrible. They claim that a virtual assistant can be anyone as long as they are qualified but I was on the "other" side of the phone calls after the interviews took place and some of the things they would say about people were as if they were enjoying the ones that were bad. It was awful and I would NEVER advise anyone to seek services from this virtual staffing firm. There are SO many other ways to get potential clients like through the ivaa.org website. VA BEWARE!

Re: Team Double Click?
Maybe TDC will change the way they do business once they realize that bad press comes from first hand experience...or maybe they won't.

Re: Team Double Click?
If there is one thing that I learned in all my 37 years of life with 22 of those years being spent in a support role is how NOT to treat people. I try and incorporate those values in to how I run my business. I try and put myself in other's shoes and run my business based on people, HUMAN BEINGS! I haven't heard any thing positive on TDC; however I do not have any personal experience with them so I can't really say. What I can say though is poor customer service travels a long way...and well here it is!

Re: Team Double Click?
Hello,
I guess I will add my experience to the list. It is not much different then what others here have already posted. About a month or so ago, I signed up with TDC, took all of the pre-tests and waited weeks for a response! During sign-up, they stressed their VAs MUST answer phones, and if they could not, they would automatically be ineligible to work with TDC. It was a little off-putting and red flags were flying high, but I continued on anyway.
About 3-4 weeks (yes it took THAT long, I nearly forget I signed up with them) after my initial sign-up and testing I received an email asking me to complete a questionnaire; based on my answers they would determine whether I would be eligible for a phone interview. I completed the questionnaire honestly and advised them I was available after 2pm daily. I got a response back stating they could not use me due to my availability. What??!?!? I thought my availability was very generous considering I already have a part-time job. Needless to say, after my experience with them, I came to realize one of the main reasons I am starting my business is because it is on my terms and on my time. So, good riddance to TDC and their ridiculous demands!

Re: Team Double Click?
I am so glad to read this. I was thinking of applying at one time if times really got rough.
Not worth the angst.

Re: Team Double Click?
 Hello all!
I happened upon your website and I saw the thread on Team Double-click.... it has been two years since I "worked" with them, so I now feel comfortable talking about my experience...
I can wholehearedly say that I am grateful that I contracted with them, because otherwise I would not have met my STAR Client. Otherwise, it was a really bad experience, and in the end they treated me very badly.
If you are DESPERATE, and I mean DESPERATE, it doesn't hurt to go through the process, but be prepared for all kinds of testing (including a personality test - which always makes me feel as though people are judging me...) and a lengthy "certification process" that doesn't mean anything outside of TDC... no one else cares whether or not you are a TCC, TCRE, or any other `nonsense! Those certifications are worthless in any other organization.
Anyone who is interested in the WHOLE story can PM me... I'm happy to share!
Peace, love happiness!

Re: Team Double Click?
Hi New Member
I really saddens me to hear that you endured an uncomfortable tenure at Team Double Click. People fail to realize that a good perception and reputation is everything in business. Wouldn’t it be great if a decision maker at the company stumbled upon this link? Then they may realize that work needs to be done to repair their image and then plan the way forward. At least you met your ‘star’ client so something positive came out if it.

Re: Team Double Click?
I was talking to a potential client today and even though this is not about TDC, she made mention about two bad experiences she had with VAs. To echo Carlana's point, a bad word does travel fast and I would hate to think what this potential client would be telling others about working with virtual assistants if she wasn't willing to give us (virtual assisting) another shot. It's so important to always maintain a high level of professionalism and to treat people with respect, it's something a person/client shouldn't even have to ask for, it should be something at the core of every business / person.
