Default Advertisment in local press
Hi, I have a bit of a dilemma.

In my local press, there is a section for Telecommunications and one for Recruitment. I am definetly not looking for a job, just clients... and I'm not advertising for computer parts!! Would I put my ad in the Telecommunications section or ask if there is a business support section in the press?

Any comments/suggestions welcomed!

Hmmm...neither sounds ideal - and if you're going to pay for space it's especially important to choose the right area.
Is there a "services offered" section?
Perhaps placing a quick call to their classified department would be wise - they could help direct you as to where you'd fit in best!

I agree with Tess I called our local paper here and they actually have a for hire section I posted in with a lot of response - telecommunications is more for telephone and communication services no one would look for you there

So far, I've placed 2 ads in my local paper- first time around my ad was in the general section (for hire, sale, and wanted combined) and read as text only, so it didn't stand out. Did things differently the 2nd time- a business card size ad geared towards real estate professionals in the real estate section--stood out nicely. My plan for the next time is simply the same business card size ad in the general section.

Still believing that I'll get hits from these efforts .
