Hi Julia:

Thanks for sharing these freelance sites. I will definitely research them further. I have used Craigslist, but my outcome have always been SCAMS. Not sure why??? I also know of others that have had successful transactions. Thanks again.

I work on oDesk bot not less than $10/hour. I don't have to do any billing, sending reports, time tracking and creating invoice. All the work is done by oDesk. So, as a beginner I think my hourly rate is fine. But, I've a friend (from India) who is Zoho creator (expert) and she charges $25/hour for her work and she does get clients from there. She doesn't apply for projects, instead clients contact her. It's because of her profile, skills, experience and portfolio. So, there are some legitimate clients who really pays well for the projects.

I am another Craigslist fan. I personally know attorneys who hire through there, landlords who rent through there, I have posted and sold items, I have rented houses. I also know people who have bought and sold automobiles -- all through Craigslist

Are there weirdos and scammers and bad deals on Craigslist - you bet! Unfortunately it is a reflection of the real world -

The wonderful thing is we have the freedom to have the option to use/not use various avenues -- and I for one am glad that Craigslist is available.

Good luck all - and keep sharing/caring!

Remember though, don't undercut yourself for the sake of getting the contract because you're all worth more than that.
It's totally free to join and if i remember right they offer you 5 bids a day. You can choose your categories in which you'll list your services. There are few VA's listed on the site so it's a great opportunity.

Hope this has been of some help.

Wow! This is something different. Usually, on the freelance sites we need to bid for the projects. But, this is really cool. Though, they're only 5 bids it's worth the try. Is there any fees to list your services?

Thanks for sharing this link.

This looks really great. Thanks for sharing
