Well!!!! Hello from Minnesota!
My goodness, you just posted and I JUST found it!
My husband and I have an LLC (Limited Liability Company). We have operated our business this way since 2003 and it has worked out great. (Before that we were independent - big mistake - huge taxes.) We renew our Articles of Organizations every year (approx. $35) and tax season is a breeze!
No, you do not have to pay sales tax in our state for selling a service. If however, you are selling a product you do have to pay sales tax. A good book that we bought when setting up our business is called,
A Guide To Starting A Business In Minnesota.
If you have any further questions, you can email me privately.
Hope this helps!
