I trying to get everything together to open my VA home buisness. But Im still confused about what legal documents I need.

I am also new to this as well, but I believe some clients might want some sort of Confidentiality Agreement. We will also need an agreement when we sign up Retainer Clients.

It depends on what you consider 'legal documents.' Are you talking about what you need to formalize your business or what you need to work with clients?

To formalize your business, check with the Secretary of State for your state's requirements. This will differ depending on what format of business you are filing - sole proprietor, llc, corporation.

For ALL clients, you will want a basic contract outlining the services, obligations, fee schedule, etc. Many VAs build the confidentiality clause into their base contract.

Check the VAF documents library for a good start to the docs you many need/want.
