I wanted to know, do I need to consult an attorney about registering it or I can just go ahead and do it myself on the website? In Colorado, for example, I only had to fill out a 1/2 page online document to become an llc. In Florida, a friend had to have a 'registered agent' to file on her behalf. So - what state are you in and what type of structure have you chosen? I am in New Jersey and I actually went to NJ Dept. of Taxation on line and printed out a long application to register a business. I'm actually registering as a Sole Prop for the time being. Hopefully someone from NJ reads this posting and advises. Thanks again!
