Default Business Restructuring
What I am doing is...
Making my LLC an umbrella and have other dba's under it. I initially wanted my va to be the llc and after thinking about it (and all that my and huuby are trying to do) I decided need to make this company ours. He is listed as part of LLC so I need to make him a part of it lol.

He has his own business as well so I am going to include his business under the umbrella (and it helps for taxes also). I also recently was contacted about another business I tried to start and have been developing in the background. So it is time for restructuring.

Ok after all that, lol, here is the new name.. Professional Administrative Service Solutions or PASS. What do you think?

I am going to keep the website the same because it has the umbrella name in it and what type of service it is. That way if I choose to get a site for the other business I am running then it will be something like cooperdaycareservices or something like that (just something off the top of my head) but that business is going to be referral based.

Hi Sheena, I know this is a fairly old post but wanted to check in and see how you were faring with this LLC/umbrella issue. Have you consulted with a tax accountant for more information as to the best way to set this up?

I'd love to hear more about what you've done to bring each of your companies under the same 'roof'...

I'm located in WV and have 2 other businesses set up under my LLC. I have my main Offsite Office Professionals, LLC and 2 DBAs. I have a checking account for the main company and a separate one for one of the 2 DBAs. I'll be setting up a 3rd account once the 3rd business is in operation. I track income and expenses separately within QuickBooks but all are included on a single 1065 tax form and on the state tax forms. All 3 fall under the LLC FIN number. I also have separate websites for each business name.
