I do not know who Jill and Kevin are, but they have become celebrities overnight because of their wedding entrance. I am sure many companies are scratching their heads wondering why they are unable to garner the attention these two amazing people are receiving (my guess is they didn’t plan on having their wedding entrance being a hit on YouTube).
I believe those of us in business (myself included) can learn a lot from these newlyweds. You may be wondering, “How in the world can you apply their wedding entrance to business?” The goal of those in business is to become part of a consumer’s evoked set. Jill and Kevin have achieved this feat with their wedding entrance. Their wedding entrance video is forever (no pun intended) going to be embedded in the minds of many people when they think of wedding entrances. Companies can increase their chances of having their customers’ think of them by remembering the following:
Be Genuine. Jill and Kevin could have easily followed tradition and entered the “normal” way, but you can tell by the video the traditional entrance does not fit their personality.
