Wow! Mostly women it seems are our clients. I think that shows that women are a major part of the work force, don't you?

Which brings up a question if you're a man. How do you do business with a women when you are a man? My husband will be writing a book about this. Do any of you women want to contribute ideas on what men need to do in order to be successful at doing business with women?

My clients come from a variety of industries including; mechanic repairs, mortgage broking, bedding manufacturer, realtor, life coach, online music shop, graphic design, government auditor, NPL practitioner, marketing firm, gym, trainer, um..... (I'm trying to remember what industries they are from...), business/financial coach, online children's store, canvas manufacturer....

Mostly female and homebased businesses. I'm off to see who they are all now, you've got me interested...

So true. Funny, though, because men say they can't read our minds either!

Hmmmm... I would think that man/woman business relationships shouldn't be any different than man/man or woman/woman business relationships. Honestly, most of the men I've worked with throughout my life are fairly laid back while I've worked with a lot of "power tripping" women. That's probably why I prefer to work with men.

I want to work with people, regardless of ***, that treat me with respect, communicate openly (don't expect you to read your mind and don't mind when you ask for more clarity when needed), realize that everyone is human and that sometimes mistakes/misunderstandings do happen, bring you up to their level (i.e. treat you like an equal regardless of how "important" they may be), appreciate all that you do...etc.

As far as being a woman working specifically with a male. I, again, want to be treated as an equal...leave all that old school barbarianism/chauvanism at the door. I am a business owner and expect to be treated as such. And, of course, absolutely NO s**ual inuendos. I can cut up with the best of them but, unless I know you REALLY well, that is not appropriate or professional. So, basically, treat me like you would a male counterpart except ALWAYS be sure to remember me on Admin Assistants day!!!! (my boss forgot about me this year, but at least the maintenance guy remembered to bring me flowers...lol)

I only have 1 client so far and she is a female as well. She is an Environmental Management Consultant who also works from home and she is so lovely to work for. I am so proud to be able to help her in her business as she has done a lot of work with companies within Australia and Internationally in regard to environmental issues.

The majority of my clients are men, only one woman. Most of them work in fields having to do with housing; Real Estate, Architecture, REI, and Consultants for nursing homes. One is an artist, network marketer and insurance salesman (for home protection). I'm customer support, a customer service manager (with a team of VAs), receptionist and bookkeper. My days ar enever dull.

Since the start of my business, my clients have all been men. I had a client that was a doctor, financial planner and several who are in the e-commerce industry (one being a web designer too). I also believe all of my clients have been similar in age, the average being 33 years old, which I find quite interesting. Oh and my brother, who is a general contractor.
