Default Who are your clients?
What industries do you find most of your clients are in?

Are your clients men or women?

Do you work mostly with sole proprietor or small business owners that have employees?

I just thought it would be interesting to find out this type of information to share.

My clients are mostly in real estate or sole proprietors. They are mostly women though I have done occasional work for men. I do have one client that has employees. Most are sole proprietors.

What about you?

Interesting thread! I'll be curious to see what others have to say too...

We have a good mix at this point of men and women, though for the longest time all of our long term clients were women business owners.

We have a real mix of industries and such as well - authors, media personalities, actors, consultants, coaches, a choreographer,a high end retailer, major execs gone solo, a chocolatier....etc. - I don't believe any of them have employees. One of our contracts is a husband/wife team...the rest are completely solo.

My clients are mostly women although I do have one male client and he is my very first client.

My clients are coaches, entrepreneurs, VAs, and authors.

I thought my client list would be heavily female, and when I checked just now, I see that's true - more than 75%. They're other VAs, authors, performers, realtors, web developers. They're all small businesses, none with more than a handful of employees, if any.

I see a trend toward women, sole proprietors, very few have employees, lots of authors, and other VAs. I found that last one interesting. I know as my business has grown I've considered the need at some point in the future to have to sub-contract to another VA. But I was surprised to see so many already working for other VAs.

I think that I'd prefer to work with males. I don't know why, I think I just get along better with them. My client is female but I'm not sure you can count her since this is a personal project. She's not a business owner.
