My first client was a parent of one of my kids friends from school. We were "friends" on facebook and he made a status update about being a small business owner and not having enough time to do it all! I offered my services to him and well... the rest is history! Networking is the key, I use Facebook, Twitter, Craigslist, I also made up flyers and printed business cards. I also have a signature line on my email. You can also do link exchanges.

Can't stress the importance of a great web site with lots of info and good keywords about the VA business that can pursuade viewers to utilize your services. I haven't starting searching for clients yet, but I plan on starting with my former employers. I had a great relationship with them, and they can vouch for the quality of my work. I'd recommend that you do the same, and don't be afraid to mention it to EVERYONE that you know. You don't have to force your business on anyone, but you can casually mention your business. Just tell people to give you a call or go to your site if they need additional info. __________________ Shaheda J
