Question Value
Value. This is an interesting subject in the virtual assistant industry. With the economy in the state it's in (which I believe is actually good for our industry) and the decline of the traditional job market and workplace, how do you articulate the way your VA practice adds more real value and demonstrates a clear understanding of whats important to your clients? Finally are you willing to contribute more than the client expects given the downturn we are currently experiencing? Just some thoughts!

Thoughts?

I always strive to give my clients more than they expect from me. As for communicating value, the savings they are experiencing in the lack of necessary training when working with a skilled virtual assistant is enormous. I know for a fact in the real estate market most in office assistants have no prior experience what so ever. What this means is they either do great, struggle until they get fired, or they start looking for a new job almost immediately because they hate it. There's extreme value in working with someone already trained and willing to face those challenges head first.

Great answer! What I am really interested to know is if you communicated this as a selling point, and is the value you give perceived as a great value by your clients?

Interesting questions. I think that working with a VA makes good business sense at any time - in a good economy or a bad economy. The benefits are the same. If VAs are portrayed as the thing to do in a down economy, then won't clients think of it as a temporary thing? To encourage a long lasting relationship, I'd play up how it will not only help them through rough times, but how it will continue to benefit them when the economy goes back up (maybe even more so).

Ivy, I agree with you that working with a skilled VA makes good business sense in any economic time. I to believe that the long lasting relationships forged in this down economy will only grow stronger and the virtual assistant industry as a whole will grow due to the extremely enormous benefits from the "Value" given to our clients through the 3 P's Purpose, Possibilities, and Passion
