Default Leadership Roles-Food For Thought
When interacting with current clients as well as prospecting for new clients, do you maintain a strong leadership role/presence?

Do you think its important to present yourself as a leader?

Yes Winston I do. Born leader here. Well not necessarily leader as in dictator but most of my clients are functionally disorganized. I give them plans, processes and strategies so that they have easy to follow plans of attack.

I think you really need to partner with your clients and many times that does mean taking on a leadership role.

Winston I think it all depends on the psyche of the client. Some desperately need direction and a sort of "cheerleader". Others are control freaks (which is likely why they're in a disastrous mess to begin with) and any attempt to lead just makes them close up and hang on tighter. And then there are those who want their lives organized and streamlined but expect it will all be done by Osmosis, without their having to participate, co-operate or collaborate in any manner whatsoever.
