Default Canadian Client(s)
Hello,

I have a great opportunity for supporting a client or two in Canada. Has anyone supported clients outside of the US? And do you have any tips/suggestions for this?

Thanks.

Sandy

I have a client in the UK. Payment can get tricky because of different currency so we used PayPal and it worked great. Other than that, it should not make any difference where the client is.

Hi Sandy,

One thing to be aware of is that we Canadians like to spell words like cheque, colour, centre and theatre the "correct" way.

Hi Sandy,

I have a few Canadian clients. The only tip I would give it use Paypal or something similar to accept payment, because like Pam mentioned currency can get tricky. Actually, my bank would charge a fee for depositing business checks outside of the US..so Paypal works out great for me.

Otherwise, as with working with any client not local to you..just keep in mind what time zone they are in!

Good Luck!

I live in Australia and deal with clients in the UK, US, Canada, France and other places. Paypal has always been good for handling payments in various currencies and I can withdraw the funds straight into my own bank account.
