Default Business Relationship Anniversary
Hello There!

Not sure if this is the right thread or not for this...

I'm proud to say that I've been working with a client of mine for an ENTIRE year (while being a VA on a part-time status). Most of my clientale are one-time projects or on an as-needed basis.

Do you celebrate or provide a "gift" of some sort to celebrate the working business relationship on a yearly basis? If so, what have you done in the past to show your appreciation to that particular client(s)?

Jean, it's a good question, something everyone has to figure out on some level. It's certainly not expected. On the other hand, it can be highly appreciated. And it has to be just right. So everyone has to arrive at the best solution for themselves ... It can range from a simple message of appreciation to a gift-basket to a Caribbean cruise!

The VA I subcontract with is now using SendOutCards to send a card and gift (I think the last one was brownies) to her "anniversary" clients...at the 1-year mark...5-year mark...and we are planning to do the 10-year anniversary mark as well....but that is a few years away.

It is a wonderful way to celebrate the client-va relationship. I would highly recommend doing something for sure. It shows your appreciation of the work you do together and your gratitude to have him/her as a client.

I would suggest doing something that benefits the client. What ever you do for him/her, your gift or note should have that particular information in it or your gift should be related to the working relationship.

I agree with Mary, "that's something everyone has to figure out on some level".

Good luck and let us know how everything turns out if you decide to send something.

Andrea~

Everyone likes to hear the words "thank you" or "your business is appreciated". Keep in mind this does not have to be a big monetary investment in a fancy gift. Cards can be great!

Let us know what you decide!
