Unauthorized LOGIN to VAF

Wasn't sure where to post this. Tonight I received an email stating someone has tried to login into my account five times and has been blocked for 15 minutes. I'm glad the VAF's has this feature. I've quickly changed my password, but am wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

There are bots out there that are programmed to try to hack into forum accounts, etc. The 5 login-attempt limit is a standard feature of our forum software and is in place to thwart exactly this kind of attack. And beyond that, there really isn't any way for anyone to hack VAF, given the great programmer we have working on the site , so no need to worry.

On a lighter note, it could also have been someone who simply wasn't sure what their username was and tried yours, it happens!

In any case, no need to worry - but do keep us posted if you find this is happening repeatedly to your account in particular.

I think these type of unauthorized login and hacking trial increased now days and most of the forums have such security options, i think its included in the forum script itself.
