Default Subscribing to a forum? [not receiving VAF emails]
Hello,

I have read over the forum and learned how to subscribe (under forum tools) to a couple of forums and for a while I was getting emails when something was posted. But now the emails have stop coming but I know there is activity. I'm trying to figure out what I've done. Can you subscribe to a whole forum or are we only subscribed to the threads we have posted in? I also made sure I checked the instant email notification.

Hi Stephanie,
It sounds like everything should be OK based on what you've done to set up your subscriptions.
To double check, click 'SETTINGS' in the main menu. Then, on the next page, choose 'Options' from the menu down the left.
On the following page, you'll see a section 'Default Thread Subscription Mode' that will allow you to mange how often you receive email notification for the threads you are subscribed to.

We do send a lot of email and so it might be that your email client or even your ISP have flagged our emails as spam. Visit this thread for information regarding adding VAF to your email client safe-senders list. If that still doesn't solve the problem, you might want to ask your ISP to check that email from the VAF domain is being allowed through.

That was it. 22 VAF messages sitting in my spam folder. But this was my online Cox web mail. It was taking them out even before my Outlook could look at them. Well, there's my lesson for the day. I knew Cox filtered stuff out but until now I had not had a problem. Makes me mad though b/c I'm still getting other assorted unwanted emails!

Thank you!!! Now I can respond before days go by on a thread!!

I'm not sure if you've taken the time to get in touch with Cox about this - a quick call can make sure all those emails make it straight to your inbox! You can also use the info provided at the link above to add us to your whitelist inside your Outlook program and that can help as well.
