[Question] Skype Link

Hello,

Quick question... I've entered my Skype address in my profile, but each of my posts shows me as offline. I checked the link and it's trying to connect to Skype through my VAForums user name (Jill T) not vamatrix (which is my Skype name).

It knows that your account is vamatrix on Skype [when I click the link it displays your VAF username and your Skype info...] the only thing I can guess is it's a temporary Skype issue, usually those links work just fine!

Thanks for your quick response, but it has never worked. I've had that user name as part of my profile for months and it always shows me as "offline." I thought it was a board glitch until I just saw another member with a little green "online" status button in her post.

Interesting, have you tried re-entering the information? As you can see the other ones are working - and I'm assuming you are logged in to your Skype account and are listed as 'online'?

It could very well be your Skype privacy settings themselves - check those too. Because it's not an issue with the forums I'm not really sure how we can help

After I saw that someone's link was working, I re-entered my info (thinking maybe it is case sensitive). I'm logged in to Skype... but I didn't think about the privacy setttings. I'll check into that next.

Ah ha!!! Got it...

There is a setting in the privacy options on Skype that says, "Allow my status to be shown on the web."

Dummy me didn't have the box checked.
