[Question] Permalinks

Sorry, probably a silly question, but I have found a few posts that I wanted to access again at some point. I thought "permalink" was a way of bookmarking the ones I want to look at again. Have I got this wrong? I can't seem to find the posts I wanted to re-visit. If I have got it wrong, what is a "permalink"

Hi Karen,
Yes, clicking on the 'permalink' link at the top right of each post and then saving the resulting page to your favorites [in your browser] should let you jump back to the same post later.

Thank you for your response, but when I click on permalink, all that happens is the post goes to the top of the page. Do you mean I should then bookmark it from my favourites?

Somehow I thought there would be a menu option on the forum to review your favourite posts.

Permalinks must be manually saved to your browser - just like when you visit a blog and click 'permalink' for a blog post, you can then save it to your favorites list in your browser.

If you want to keep a list on-site of threads you are intersted in you can use the 'Thread Tools' menu [at the top of every thread] to subscribe to a thread. Then the thread will be saved in your 'Subscriptions' and accessible via your profile/settings. You'll also receive email notice of any new activity on the thread according to whichever option you select when you subscribe.

Ah, thread tools, just looked, that is the one I wanted as I comment on all the threads that I have a particular interest in.
