Exclamation HELP! Trying to put VAF things on my website
Geesh... guess I am just DUH... I am trying to put the badge and the calculator on my website. I copied code (all written info under what I wanted?) and pasted it. ALL I have is a website with a stupid-looking bunch of writing in the middle of it now - no badge/pic or calculator. HELP?!?

Deb -

Are you sure you didn't accidentally write over something or delete a character or something. Or did you follow it with some other code? It would probably be helpful if you pasted in the post exactly what you posted on your site. I'm not an expert by any means, but can usually help with something simple - and will try.

What resource are you using to setup your website?

I'm sure we can help you get it sorted out.

What kind of website are you adding this to? (is it a template/builder or are you working in HTML via FTP?)

Also check this post for previous issues discussed: About the VAF Customizable Calculator - check here for answers, issues, etc.

I am using go daddy.com - couldn't put in theirs either so I guess am going to take the time to call their customer services. Theirs said to put it between 2 places can't remember - think it was between 2 words "body" - but didn't see that -- I am sure if they help me with their banner then will be able to do VAF.

If it is a free website building application, make sure you are editing your pages in the HTML version (not a drag and drop version or similar). As mentioned in the thread referenced above, the freebie website builders tend to mangle sophisticated code, stripping out needed elements or worse. My guess is this is what is happening and switching to the HTML editor should make a difference.

Assuming you are then editing in HTML, you should be able to paste the code for the calculator and/or the badge anywhere inside the body of your page.
