Can I edit or update a post?

Could you tell how I can edit a posting within the same message after it has been submitted.

When I submit the edit button appears but after a few days it's gone. Any ideas.

The edit option is available only for about 30 minutes after the initial post is submitted, once the 'edit' button is no longer visible the post can not be edited by the poster.

If we let people edit old posts we would have an awful lot more work checking the site for spam - and 30 minutes is a pretty fair amount of time to catch those typos, etc.

But, if you do need to update a post or make a correction, you can always post back to the original thread with your new input!
