Re: Add your raves about Virtual Assistant Forums here!
This is truly a very informative forum.
I stumbled accross it, when I started researching for my VA business, and joined immediately.
I had lots of questions, but even before I could start asking, they were answered here.
I have learned so much the past couple of weeks, it feels like I have information overload.
Thank you to all who contributes and thank you for sharing all your valuable tips with other VA's.

When I first learned about the Virtual Assistant industry, The Virtual Assistant Forums was one of the first forums I found online. I am so glad I did! The Virtual Assistant Forums is a community jam packed with resources, information and super supportive members.

The VAs on this forum are awesome. Everyone is so helpful. I just wish I had found it sooner. I've learned about everything from VoIP to billing and time tracking!

I found this forum a while ago. It is great to have a place to turn to for advice on any subject. I really appreciate the hard work that is put into this site to maintain it...On top of that it's free. That is awesome! Thanks Tess for this forum

Re: Add your raves about Virtual Assistant Forums here!
I have quite a fondness for VAF Forums. It is one of the few sites that I have to visit on a daily basis (whether I post or not, trust me, I'm here). I found the forum shortly after starting my VA business and it was a new forum as well, so I feel like we have kind of grown together. It has been great seeing all of the new members and all of the awesome new features that are constantly being added for the benefit of its members.
What I truly love is the closeness and openness that this site has compared to others. This is truly a place where you can go and not have to be afraid to ask a question for fear of being made to feel incompetent, which was a huge comfort to me when I was first starting out. Even though I had years of experience, it is amazing how much you start to doubt your abilities when you are suddenly on your own. There are VA's in all stages of their business here, so no matter where you are at in the process you can feel supported because you have the support of someone else who is at that same stage, plus you have the knowledge of those who have "been there, done that".
If all that wasn't enough, you can get clients here too! I have not responded to any of the RFP's on the forum but have managed to get a few clients out of the deal. They found me here (not sure if they are actual members or not) and contacted me and the rest is history.
Anyways, I didn't start out planning to write all of that, but that's how I feel, so there it is. I've been doing some reflecting lately on how far my business has come over the past year and a half. Can you tell? LOL

Rebecka, I am glad that you posted this, really
Because I feel the same way too about this forum. I have many years too of administrative experience. I don't have as much technology experience but slowly making up for it with college classes and online classes too. This forum is definitely the place where I feel most comfortable being at. Everyone is friendly and here to help. So I feel "at home" here. Especially with just starting out as a VA. After studying and listening to podcasts daily, one does build up some stress at the end of the work day. I don't have any clients yet ..... There's so many questions and when you work alone, it's nice now to have someplace to go to and not have to worry about "if what you are asking" is so elementary....Jo-Carole

Re: Add your raves about Virtual Assistant Forums here!
There are various other VA Forums around but I have yet to find one with the in depth knowledge and assistance that you find on Virtual Assistant Forums. Everybody involved is so happy to help and assist and to point you in the right direction for the answer that you are looking for. It's great to read about everybody's experiences and knowing that you aren't the only one out there when it comes to making mistakes. This is a fantastic site and certainly encourages me to strive for the life that I want to live, not the one that just pays the bills. Thanks to everyone involved.

Re: Add your raves about Virtual Assistant Forums here!
The Virtual Assistant Forums is one online site I visit every day, no matter the circumstance. VAF is my virtual version of the company 'watercooler', departmental meeting, quality control department and resource division. The peer-to-peer support here is invaluable. Further, the site itself is well-organized and easy-to-navigate. There is never a day where I don't learn something new.

Re: Add your raves about Virtual Assistant Forums here!
I can't believe I have not seen this thread until now.
The Virtual Assistant Forum has the most beneficial content and information that I've ever seen in a free online community. The esteemed characteristics and qualities of this forum are invaluable. If one puts the Virtual Assistant Forums to great use, there is no reason for not succeeding with all that is available here. The friendships I've gathered here, could never be replaced.
I'll stop there for now, but could go on & on.
Thank you for this wonderful resource!

Re: Add your raves about Virtual Assistant Forums here!
I was at a loss when starting my business...finding VAF has been relief. It has answered questions and built up my confidence. Talking to others, who are doing the same thing, really makes you believe you can do it too. I have not found another spot on the web that is more supportive! Thank you!

I just want to say that this forum has been wonderful. If I didn't have it, I don't know where I would be at. I have learned so much from the seasoned professionals here. I have gotten my business launched yet but I do believe that it will be soon. Thanks everyone for putting your bits of knowledge here to help us newbies.
