Default Young entrepreneurs as niche?
I am thinking of focusing on targeting young entrepreneurs, since I am young too and I think that I could relate well with other young business owners. I would really love to help other young people start and succeed with their businesses. I was wondering if it was a big enough group? Would I be limiting myself?

I think the first question that comes to mind for me, is where/how do you target "young" entrepreneurs for marketing yourself? If you have a good sense of how to do that, then it sounds like an idea you can run with. Also, I would think more about why you want to target them...that is, other than being a young entrepreneur yourself, what do you specifically or uniquely have to offer them that would make them choose you to work with (again, this goes to marketing). If you have a strong enough unique selling proposition for that market, then certainly you could target them as your niche.

Re: Young entrepreneurs as niche?
I enjoy the startup process myself and have thought of pursuing that niche, not necessarily by age range. I have been busy with what I have going right now so I haven't followed up. One concern I have is the getting paid thing. Startups are notoriously underfunded with poor cash flow, and statistically risky. I'm not saying that is a reason to avoid the niche, just advising some strategic planning to help insure *your* cash flow. The benefits of helping a new business get off the ground and flourish can be very rewarding both financially and personally.
As far as finding the younger crowd... a lot of that will come to you naturally as you network with your own age group. When I started out on Twitter I stumbled across a young guy who was all enthused about being an entrepreneur. I followed him and soon had several others like him following me. The niche is there if you just use a little creative targeting and careful contracting.

Go for it!

Yes, I think this is a great niche. Be ready to start researching the pitfalls of inexperienced business starters!
