Default Niche Help!
I am brand new to the VA field. In my "day job" I am a project manager who specializes in Business Analysis and Data Mining. I am planning (hoping) to use those skills for SEO, project planning, Maintaining project plans and presentation on the progress. I am not sure if this is a good place to start or if this seems too specialized. Any thoughts?

In a way, you can't get too specialized. Your skills sound useful, and I suggest you get it together and go for it!

Hi Jennifer. You and I have much in common. I am new to the VA world and have a similar background (well the data mining part anyway). I also want to specialize in it, but worry whether it would be "enough".

You did mention SEO, so maybe you know this already - but I've discovered there are other options in the internet "data and analysis" field as well. I've been taking Internet Marketing at VAClassroom. I have never been interested in marketing, so I thought that, if nothing else, I would learn how to do this for my own business. But the bonus part is that it has got me excited about other services that I can add to my arsenal. In particular, online competitive analysis, website analytics, affiliate stats... and that's as far as I've got in the course, so may find some other things coming up as well.

Anyway, I'm starting to believe that even though it's specialized, I think there will be enough work. These may be some other options for you to offer as well.

Deb

Thank you so much. I have looked at website analytics but I'm just not sure. I plan on looking at that website you sent. Maybe I can gain some insight there!
