Default Deciding niche
Hi everyone!
I have been working off and on as a VA for different people over a few years. I have done marketing and labels for 2 different vitamin/herb distributors, shipping and email marketing for an Ebay store owner and a variety of task for my mother and her business brokerage firm.
I have my real estate license and mortgage broker license but have been learning a lot more about internet marketing. I have been creating blogs using templates as well as editing websites.
Due to the current real estate market, I have been unsure of how the realtors are responding to the VAs and the rates we charge. I have found that they tend to not want to pay more than minimum wage so I have been hestitant to make that my target market.
Can anyone share how the real estate market is or give suggestions on what sort of niche I should concentrate on?
I am hoping to get back on track and build my client base so any help is greatly appreciated!
Vanessa

Hi Vanessa,

From what I have seen most of the higher producers in real estate are still more than happy to hire a virtual assistant. I do not see most them being willing to pay more than $20-$25 an hour though, while much higher than minimum wage, it is on the lower end of the "average VA rates".

The biggest selling features for a Real Estate VA seem to be knowledge of several real estate websites, TopProducer expertise, and social media and marketing expertise. If you have these and sell them, then you should be able to find some real estate clients.

I also highly recommend that you become active in ActiveRain if you are not.

Good luck!!
Kim

I read a post on LinkedIn yesterday by a real estate agent who has a VA and she believes the future for REVA's looks bright and shiny.

I'm an internet marketing virtual assistant and the future looks bright and shiny for us too. In fact, I think anything you do as a VA is great. Check out the VA Classroom and then get out there and socialize. I meet a lot of people on Twitter and have established business relationships with several of them.
