Default Who is your host provider?
Hi everyone

Can anyone recommend a good host provider? The one I am using lately is giving me a lot of problems and I can't log in for days.

Appreciate your comments. Thank you very much.

Hi Jo,

I have used Bluehost for years and have always been very satisfied with their service and the ease of use for all my sites. My main domain is registered through them, so it was free (don't know if they still do that).

Hi Joe,

This is something that I'm looking to find out as well! There are so many to chose from!

Thanks Jules,
I am thinking of having two sites with the same information on them. Just because of the problems I am having. One paid and one free, I have several domain names so that would work for me. It seems if I don't log into my site for 2 weeks, my password doesn't work anymore and it takes days to fix it, a big waste of time. I also am thinking of streamlining my site which would be easier to keep up too.
Thanks, gonna check out Blue Host now.

Hi there,

I use, & have been happy with, JustHost. I switched to them earlier this year from 1and1 - after using 1and1 for years & years. I have several domains to manage & find their cpanel fairly easy to navigate. Obviously, if they're who you use now, nevermind! lol I hope you're able to find one that works best for you!

Hey Jo,

My host provider is http://www.weebly.com. It is easy to use and manipulate as well as transfer your domain. I love them because I can host as many domains I want under them without having to pay for extra hosting fees. I pay 1 hosting fee for as many domains I have. This has been an asset to me since I have more than 3 domains lol

One thing I would be careful of, and I know we have heard all of the horror stories on this, is to check to see if there is a 60 or 90 day waiting period for you to transfer away from who you are hosting with now.

Best of luck,
Andrea ~

Thanks everyone for your comments.

I decided to try GoDaddy, my domain is already there so it should be fairly easy. My WP blog is on my current site though, so I am not sure what will happen to the blog when I close out my account there. Does anyone know that?

Thanks

Thx Andrea, I am going to build a Weebly site too, I have several domains with Go Daddy and think its a good idea when one site is down. Thanks.

Glad to hear you've found a solution; for future readers of this thread, I'll just mention that I've been a happy Dreamhost customer for years - I definitely recommend them!

There's some advice on this subject in this previous thread, too: Search for the cheapest webhosting

Jo, if your WP blog files reside on your current provider's machines, then I think you'll need to move those files to your account with GoDaddy before you close your current account. (As you probably know, when you close out a hosting account, usually all of your files will no longer be accessible, so make sure you have your own copy of everything before you close it!) If you need more help with this send me a PM, I'd be happy to give you a hand. Good luck!
Thanks Liz, appreciate your help

Yes, I think I will lose my blog for sure. I am planning to open up my GoDaddy domain today and start moving everything over there. I already backed up my webfiles yesterday. I didn't start blogging yet, so that is a plus I will just wait on that.
