Default Weebly
Last week I purchased my domain but no extra hosting. I am limited in funds to my business gets going a little bit more. My initial plan was just to point my new domain over to my blog. Yesterday, I discovered Weebly. I found it through an Add on in Google Chrome. It is a basic website building tool. You can set up a website and point your domain to it. All hosting is free, unless you want to add on certain extras. I built my website yesterday and there are tons of different options. So I thought I would share what I found, because it might be helpful. It is basic, but there are a lot of options in the free catergory.

Anyway, I hope this is useful to someone, but if not, sorry!

Weebly

You can take a look at my site at Imagine It

It is all set up with the Weebly website creator!

I too use the free weebly for my website hosting... it's very easy to use and set up with lots of tools to help along the way. And if you want more you can always pay for it... so as your business grows who knows!!

I used the paid version of Weebly and I love it! When you pay you get can get rid of the weebly logo at the bottom and they let you create at least 6 sites (I just created one last week for my VA marketing http://www.authorvirtualassistant.com/).

Good luck with your business

Jaidi, I think your website looks great! It's hard to believe that it is all free and looks so professional. I used Google's blog site to build my blog but I'm still working on it.

I like the fact that your font is larger than most and much easier to read. Thanks for sharing your information.

We are using Weebly Also. How were you able to get the tweets and the counters on the home page? Still playing with the site. If you can let me know by emailing me I would be more grateful. yourvirtualassitants@gmail.com.

I sent you an email about the counters and stuff. Hope it helps!

But here it is just in case!
All of the stuff in that sidebar are HTML widgets.

The share this counter came from :http://sharethis.com/
The Facebook is just my profile badge that you can get through your fan Page.
The Twitter and LinkedIn are just the widgets you can get through the sites.
http://twitter.com/about/resources/w...widget_profile
http://developer.linkedin.com/docs/DOC-1072

They are put in using the HTML option. You just copy and paste the html from the websites. They usually don't show up in the Weebly create window, but they will show up on your website. So you will want to publish it after you have the html all in and make sure they are looking they way you want to.

Let me know if that doesn't help at all. It took me a few tries to get it all to work right!
