Default transferring domain through vistaprint
I have a website through VistaPrint and also got my domain through them. MY question is... is the domain name transferrable if I were to change website hosts? I think I may be able to find a website a little bit cheaper than $20 a month! Does anyone know of a website host that is less expensive than this and that I can pay on a monthly basis?

Hi Dekota,
I'm not sure if you've found your answer but I had a website with VistaPrint and unfortunately it is not transferrable, they own the website and domain for a year after you cancel before it is available. I only had mine up and running for about 2 months, so that may be why. Give them a call directly to inquire about your situation.
Hope this helps

Stephanie

Dekota,
You can keep your domain with Vistaprint and just transfer hosting to another company. See if they give that option. Doesn't really matter who your domain was purchased through, any hosting company can host your site. Just some "behind the scenes" things have to be adjusted.

Good Luck

I think Bluehost may be a good one to look at as well. I just looked at their site and they boast $6.95/month with FREE set up, No hidden fees, domain included.
