Hmm...I got my domain name through GoDaddy, but have it hosted elsewhere. But Doteasy sounds great! I'm sure I'll be doing more than one website - so I'll keep them in mind for anything else I may come up with.

I purchased my domain and hosting through GoDaddy.com, for a year. I thought it would give me a good time period to "figure out" things and decide if I want to continue with that company or go with another. I didn't realize the search engines would even check to see how long the domain was registered - that's a very useful bit of information, thank you!

I only purchased mine for a year when I started simply because I didn't have a lot to spend. I think once my business is established I will more than likely renew for several years. I didn't get mine from GoDaddy but the company I got mine from were EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgable and I'm glad I did it. I built my own site to save costs and learned a lot in the process. It was relatively painless I'm glad to say.
