Re: Domain registration and web hosting
Hi Marta,
Unfortunately GoDaddy has been a supporter of the new US SOPA bill which most web businesses are firmly against. Although they came out saying they will no longer support it - after thousands of protesters withdrew their domains from them, they still support the Protect IP bill in the US senate (very similar to SOPA). It's a terrible bill unfortunately and would limit freedoms on the internet. So web designers and developers as well as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and other industries have come out against it. Also the owner's publication of his safari hunting (I think an elephant) was just rather crash.
1 on 1 hasn't got the best reputation when domains are stolen in helping out their customers so a heads up they aren't strong on that. Namescheap.com is fairly reputable.
For a strong web host - liquidweb.com is the best I have come across. Available 24/7, they have the best technical expertise I've come across and I'm a web designer so I'm a bit picky on that front. : )
Kind regards, Nancy
