That is interesting. I do not think I would use Every Door Direct because it does not allow me to target my audience the way I want to. For instance, you can saturate recipients within a given physical area, but I do not see where this allows you to target a specific type of business, which is what I want to do. I do not feel that saturating a given physical area would be the best use of my marketing resources because this approach does not appear to be specific enough for my comfort level and I doubt it would produce much in return.

However, I think this approach may actually be good for some types of businesses. For instance, a house cleaning business may do well with this type of marketing if the sender focused on upper middle class and higher class neighborhoods.

I am using Reference USA to create my targeted mailing list for free. If you are interested, do a search on "Ref USA" you should find some threads here that will explain how to use that service through your public library account.

I have never heard of Reference USA, nor have I used direct mail for my VA business. I have thought of sending out a post card mailing though to Accountants, Real Estate Agents and Lawyers. Just haven't yet.

Many libraries have Reference USA or a similar kind of reference company. At my library all I need is a library card. A draw back to using the library system is that there may be a limit on the number of listings one can save.

Also, if you're interested in subscribing to one of these companies, it can be expensive.

What the USPS is offering with this suggestion may be inexpensive in the long run even though there are limitations to its usage.

I think I may try USPS's service.

Thanks for the suggestion!
