I was thinking of producing a tri-fold brochure on heavy-weight stock with something similar to the cut-out card in it instead of inserting a card which raises the weight of the mailer. The USPS here told me if I mail more than 200 pieces per year it would qualify for a discounted rate. Has any one else checked this out?

I have a postcard from VistaPrint that I use. Once I have made email or phone contact with a prospective client I send a postcard about a week after our chat. It follows up with our conversation and gives them a "piece" to hold onto.

I also have used VistaPrint. They have a fabulous inventory of designs and they are very quick to ship. Never had a problem with them

I am in the process of sending out postcards that I bought from Paper Direct. They are really pretty and didn't cost too much. There are two on a page and I can print them myself. My wording is pretty general - something to get the prospective client to look at my website - hopefully. I am also sending them to family and friends to let them know what I am doing now and ask them to pass the word to their family and friends. Hopefully it will be a good beginning.

Thanks, as always, for the kudos! The 'cut-out card' was the hubby's idea (giving credit where credit is due )

I'm just a little iffy with the post cards because nothing happened with my mailing campaign. I sent out detailed letters to my niche market and not one person responded

I usually send out post cards 'cuz A) they're cheaper to mail than a letter, B) it's easier/quicker to read than a letter.

My next 'postcard' campaign will not be postcards, thus being the more expensive .42/piece postage. They will actually be 1/3rd of a page postcards that will be cut out and placed in an envelope with a gold dollar attached to the postcard above the 'spiel.' The envelope will read - "Can I buy 30-seconds of your time? - payment enclosed." I'm sending this out to local 1-person attorneys in hopes that this will grab their attention. ($1/30-seconds = $240/hour)

I love the golden dollar idea - very creative and catchy - especially for your target group!
