Hi Jenifer,

Sounds really great & hope you get really good, positive follow up. Let us know how it goes.

Please can I ask who you sent it to within the organisation? When you say agent would this be the person who deals with personnel or a manager?

I've just received my postcards yesterday & am putting together a list of local busineses, trades etc to send them to but i'm a bit unsure of direction with a large organisation.

Would be grateful for your help
Sarah

My assistant called and asked for the real estate agent directly and if they weren't available then she just confirmed with the receptionist that the specific agent still worked there and that the address was correct.

In some cases where I had multiple agents in one office I just addressed it to the office in general. One office asked me to send it to their HR dept. but I didn't know real estate companies had those.

Thanks Jenifer.

Think i'll follow my instincts and phone first too & try & get a name before sending.

Looking forward to hearing how yours has gone. Good luck.

I picked real estate agents in my target market of Phoenix, AZ and its surrounding areas. Little did I know that the outlying towns are in a huge housing crisis and some agents claim to not have had a listing in 3 months or more. That hurt a little. I feel for them.

One veteran agent of 40+ years gave me some pointers on agents to target based on the parts of town that are performing well. That will be phase two.

I think phase one went ok. Out of 45 postcards sent I have 7 expressing interest in learning more. I will send a cover letter, brochure and biz card- unless anyone has other suggestions- to those 7.

Has anyone tried the same sort of approach but by email. I've been advised to send out an email shot to all the local businesses but I'm a bit concerned that it is not personal enough. Any thoughts?
