Default New Post Card for bluegreen Office
I just wanted to share a post card I made to send out to the local businesses in my area:

Hello All,

While I'm sorry I haven't been on this site much at all, I am happy to say that it's because I have become so busy with the new business! The cards were a success and while I didn't get much local business, I discovered that northern states and in particular, states that are not fairing so well economically, are really into the idea of virtual support.

So the post cards are definitely a good investment! Rather cheap in comparison to the great return! In fact, I just received a new batch today. I'm going to "head out West" I think.

Colleen,

I'd love to see your card. The earlier link you sent out doesn't pop up for me.

Also, when I try to see your website I'm told I need to download an Adobe product. Is this necessary?

Carol

I'm changing the web site now. I used the latest version of Flash when I created it, but I am realizing that many people are still using browsers that have not been updated to read the latest technology.

Also, I have the post card posted as a jpeg. You should be able to read it, even in Photobucket; otherwise you shouldn't be able to view anything on the web. )

Great post card and I'm so happy to hear that you've good results from it. How did you decide who to send the cards to and/or where did you get your mailing list from? Did you target a specific industry?

It's very nicely designed. I hope that's a service you are offering to your clients!

Thanks Kimberly.

Initially, I just went to my state's Secretary of State web site to look for businesses that had been newly created, and I sent post cards to those companies. Then I started checking different states' sites also, to get the newest companies being formed.

Then I noticed that there were a lot of attorneys who were opening up their own practices. It really appears that those are the clients most interested in my services.

From there, I looked at the Supreme Court's listing of who passed the Bar back in February and did a search on these people to see if I could make contact. Also, I'm gearing up for the next Bar exam, which starts July 28. I know that it usually takes a month to get the results, but I'll be ready to make contact when they are announced.

Also, I am offering creative services to clients. In fact, I'm currently branding an herbal shop out of Joplin, Missouri - logo, site and marketing pieces...the whole deal!

I never imagined I would be so busy.

No wonder you're so busy....sounds like you did a terrific job of targeting your mailing to just the right customers. I hope others take note on the steps you took to do that and the direct correlation to the success you've seen from this mailing.
