Hi, all! Due to cost constrains right now, I want to print up a some postcards on my inkjet printer rather than using a professional printer like Kinkos. I'm concerned about them getting smudged or wet in the mailing process. Has anyone else had to deal with this? Epson has a printer that uses what is supposed to be a water-resistant ink. (My friend used it for her postcards and says that you can take a damp papertowel and run it over the ink and it doesn't smear or anything.) I've found some water-resister inkjet paper on the Internet that is supposed to keep the ink from running or smearing if it gets a little wet; and then there are things you can spray on the paper to make it water-resistant/proof after printing.
Seems to me the Epson printer (or one like it) might be a good choice (especially when it's under $80), but I wanted to look at all options. I don't use my current printer much, but buying this one would also give me a backup.
Any suggestions or ideas?
Thank you!!
