I've done direct mail letters. I targeted different businesses at a time. So they would be generic for all the businesses in the same field that I was targeting. I'm about to try postcards because they are cheaper and faster to do. Also, because I haven't had any luck with the letters. Good luck with your decision!

I've only done a bit of marketing because I'm still working part time, well going back in two weeks following maternity leave, and I'm scared of taking on too much too soon, with two little ones at home it will be a bit challenge.
I have got one client that I successfully won a bid on from a freelance site, and eventhough I've been paid and the work had finished via the site, I'm still working for him.
So I'm taking things slowly, and trying to market slowly to generate interest at a manageable pace, and as little cost as possible.
Hi All - I am in the process of creating my first major direct mail campaign. Over the years, I've stuck to just the Internet. I have seen some interest in my area. Well at least now when I am asked what I do and I tell them they have some understanding of it. Before people would just look at me with this strange look on their face.
So I am going to start with the classified ads. I figure it is worth a shot to send them a sales letter then follow up with a phone call. What is the worse thing that can happen???
I'm getting ready to do my first direct marketing to my target market. I'm planning to do postcards because of postage. I figure I will be able to hit the market more times with a postcard than with a letter. Besides it's already 'open' so more likely to be read. Since people need to see your name about 7 times before they really see your name...
That's my plan and my ideas behind it. Just my thoughts.
