Default Could you critique postcard copy?
OK, I am slowly getting closer to starting to actively market my business. I have been thinking about putting together some kind of postcard mailing and it just occurred to me that I could incorporate the end of the year into the content and kinda push those buttons and try to get something out this month. So below is what i have come up with so far. Could you please give me your honest opinions. I am very adept at business correspondence and putting together bullet point presentations but trying to sell myself and draw some kind of picture with my words is kicking my butt! So anyway - my idea was the copy below and then underneath it a bulleted list of the benefits of hiring me, and then if there was room, maybe a quote from The Washington Post or somewhere about this industry. Then on the back have my services and anything else I happen to think of.

Part of me thinks this sounds too choppy but I am just trying to state some things quickly that would speak to the person reading it. Feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

A new year is fast approaching and with it comes the inevitable resolutions to become better organized, to achieve a better work/life balance, to learn to delegate.

The holiday season is almost upon us, do you need assistance with your company events, your Christmas card list?

The end of one year and the beginning of another means closing out files, getting ready for tax time. Do you need help organizing your receipts?

The back of the postcard should just have your return address (mine is my business card in the upper left-hand corner) and the mailing address.

For the front, I usually do a 'grabber' line at the top of my postcards. Something like:

You rock Lily! That is so much cleaner - I am going to work along those lines..

So you don't have anything on the back other than address info? I was thinking about the 5 x 8 size...

Kathy

Here's the back of my postcard...

I added my phone number to my biz card and added my CQU after my name but other than that it's pretty much the same.
