Re: What are your most common tasks?
website maintenance, article submissions, email subscriber database updates, social media profile set ups, backlink building, research, sales pages, set up email campaigns, customize newsletter templates. If it's internet marketing I do it.

Re: What are your most common tasks?
Mine are online/social marketing, report formatting and proofreading
I spend 90% of my time doing social networking right now, for various clients.

Re: What are your most common tasks?
For me:
- Realtors: listing maintenance, online marketing of listings, feedback follow up, etc. One of them also has me maintain her personal group's business website.
- Contractors: online bid package maintenance (basically FTP management & updating of webpages).
So I guess website "maintenance" is the main task right now even though I have clients from different industries.

Re: What are your most common tasks?
Great question! And it is reallly helpful to see the responses. I don't have any clients yet but the niche I am targeting is Sales Operations - so basically supporting sales people and their adminstrative tasks. Salespeople really don't like what they consider to be admin work; paperwork, bids & rfqs, contract reviews, presentations, CRM and contact files and add in reporting and analysis.
That's my plan anyhow -- hopefully I will have my first client soon and I can see if that is where we end up!

Re: What are your most common tasks?
Currently I am working on, Powerpoint presentations, event logistics, webpages, brochures and contact management for clients, I use Quickbooks for my own business but plan to take a course so I can add bookeeping to my skillset. Other things I do, funeral/memorial cards, video slideshows and photo management.

Re: What are your most common tasks?
Gee, isn't this an impressive list of skills? Seems like everyone's really different.
Something's sort of been surfacing for me, out of the blue - clients who are physical therapists or other medical types. What's odd is that I've not actually targeted them, but they contact me. It's gotten so I'm not surprised at all when a new caller or emailer tells me they're in PT, or they're a fitness coach, or something to do with wellness. Now ain't that strange? This happening with any of y'all?
Mostly, it's social media marketing and editing their writings, mixed in with print materials, data collection, and other kinds of marketing. The way I approach things with most clients (unless they have very specific tasks for me) is that I learn as much as I can about their biz and about them, and then make suggestions about communications that might help them. It starts out as them asking me to do certain things, but pretty quickly becomes a consultant relationship, because I'm in a good position to advise about how they're presenting their brand.
