Hi all just curious about something. I am an inspiring VA and hope to have my business up and running within the next few weeks. One thing that I absolutely love doing is planning events, parties and things of that nature. My question to you is, is the really a "norm" for a VA and what and how would I charge for such a service? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!**** Also LOGO issue. I know what I want to use for my logo, however, I've called several companies and none would do this for me because they said the company creates the logo and not me. Hmm, I already know what I want, I just need for someone to actually do this for me. Suggestions??

I think that many VA's are able to assist with event planning. I think that it doesn't matter whether it is the norm or not - if there is a need and you have the ability, than anything you do can be successful! I would recommend that you look at the sites of other VA's in your area to get pricing ideas (there is a directory on this site).

As far as your logo, I am not understanding the reason that no one wants to design it for you. Please provide more details.

I think it's a great niche, if you've got the skills and the passion for it don't worry about the norm!

As for the logo most designers want some idea of what you're looking for so I'm not sure what the issue is.

I'd recommend posting each of your individual questions in the related forums - you'll get many more answers with more specific information.

With that said I know quite a few virtual assistants who specialize in virtual (or local) event planning and do quite well. It's a growing niche to be sure.
