Default Should I add "Architect, Law, & Real Estate Services"?
Hello everyone!

My Husband would like for us to start working together. He would like for me to add Architect, Law and Real Estate Services to the list of services.

Here's the problem I am having, My husband is 29 years old and finally decided to not pursue going back to school . I was beginning to think that he was going to be a career student, only to find out that he was only going to pass time to get through the recession. My husband has a total of 4 degrees, BS in Architect, MS in Urban Planning, JD in Law....and while getting his law degree he double majored to get a 2nd MS in Real Estate. As you can see he loves anything to do with Commercial Real Estate. The only reason why I don't want to add this service is because He is very active with his job search and when he finally lands his dream job, he will leave me high and dry , no questions asked. So if I offer this service, is it a good idea to offer it full time or just part time for him to work on weekends or not offer them at all?

I don't want to disregard his request all together. I just need some advice on how to handle this situation.

Thanks for all the wonderful advice in advance!

Boy this is a tough one. You really need to be able to trust in your relationship and friendship. If you already have doubts then that should tell you something.

Andrea, I wouldn't go as far to say we have trust issues. We trust each other 200% and we get along too well. I know me and I'm not the type of person to start something without carrying it through. My concerns are that once he starts working with me...He wouldn't be able to continue working.

Well, now that I'm thinking about it...I guess I shouldn't because I know nothing about that stuff and I know that if and when he does get a job, it will be a very demanding one and I won't make him pick and choose.

Now telling him that it's not a good idea is another challenge. Wish me luck!

Virtuous - You hit it on the head. It's not a good idea for you to offer those services, simply because they have little to do with being a VA unless your VA biz focuses on those areas. Right? Good thinking. It's just not a workable business plan for you.
