Real Estate has ALWAYS been a passion of mine. I watch all sorts of Real Estate shows on HGTV. I use to want to be a Real Estate agent, though I never could afford the lic. plus when I was looking into it, it was something that I needed to count on as income and I knew being a agent is always a hit or miss career. I had also applied for a few Real Estate secretarial position a long time ago, though the pay of 9.00 n hour and the situation I was in (I felt was a single mom life )( was honestly married for 8 years ) and the only income provider at that time, $9.00 hr was not good.

Now that life has changed and I am a in a much better position in life. I was wondering even though I may not have the experience in the Real Estate field... What can I offer if I was to become or want to become a Real Estate Assistant ?

I have a few ideas BUT I would like to hear others.

Hi Kristlynn. I not sure of the laws in New York, but here in Texas if you are not license it limits what you can do as a real estate assistant. I would sugguest you get familar with the realestate terms. Understand the process of different real esate transactions for example a purchase transactions vs a listing transactions. If you have a good understanding of the terms and how the process work then you well on your way.

You could be speaking my exact story! I feel the same way. I've always wanted to get into real estate and am an addict of HGTV. I have been a VA for a year then one day very recently I had an aha! moment. I just figured out that I could work in real estate by provide virtual assistance services for brokers, agents, etc. I look forward to learning as much as I can about how I can offer services to the real estate market.

I hope more people can contribute to this thread. I would love to read more opinions/stories. I've been considering targeting this type of market...
