As I am continuing my research, I just thought of something. I am an amateur photographer and photography is my hobby. I had thought about as one of my services, offering some sort of photography. For example, I currently work at an insurance agency, and we sometimes hire someone to take pictures of homes or autos that we cannot get to for whatever reason. Realtors, appraisers need photos of homes. Maybe personal stock, or researching stock photography and making recommendations?

I am also working on my Photoshop skills....maybe to offer basic photo editting skills???

What is the opinion on this...and is anyone currently doing this?

I offer Digital Photo Editing as one of my services. Along with photo slideshows.

Another service I thought of is to take photos of items within the home for insurance purposes in the event of a fire, a flood or some other catastrophic situation.

I think it is a great idea. Anytime you can combine making money with a passion it is a winner in my book. I say go for it.

Anyone out there working with loan officers, brokers, mortgage companiesm appraisers...and if so what services are you offering?

Ok...I think I am planning to offer the following services so far:

Mortgage Processing/Loan officer Assistant
Editting and Proof Reading
Calendar management, appointment setting/confirmations
Letter/Resume writing
Photography services (for appraisers, insurance agents, realtors, maybe photo research and some photo editting)
Word processing

Curious as to the opinion of the above services...is this a good mix? Too much, too little?

Seems like a good mix. i especialy like the addition of the photography services. I had considered offering mortgage processing at one time, my daughter is an experienced processor, but then the bottom fell out of the industry and you can't buy mortgage business around here. Nothing is moving. Hopefully it will pick up soon and hopefully that isn't true in your area. Somewhere people are still buying and selling property.

Great idea indeed. I just added Project/Property photography to my list of services for contractors. I will be a great way for them to add those to their presentation, websites, etc.
