Default Office move services
One of the things that I have done several times as an administrator is the logistics of office moves. Is this something that can be offered as a service. My idea was to find out needs for furniture, research vendors and obtain pricing for equipment, research places for office space and arrange for delivery. Is this something that can be offered virtually. I am in the planning stages and am trying to focus on the admin tasks that I enjoy doing and arranging the logistics has always been interesting to me

I don't see why not. I've once moved with an office and I think one of the partner's secretary and the office manager were the ones taking care of the logistics. As long as you keep in constant communication with the office and take care of their needs, it's probably doable.

This is a niche I have not yet seen explored, at least here on VAF, before. It could very well be a bold new direction to go in and you'd possibly be the pioneer I think if you enjoy it and have the skills and/or experience to back it up then go for it!
I'll be curious to hear if you do pursue this, and how it pans out for you!

What a great idea. You could include everything from finding a space to coordinating the move. I have moved a few offices and helped close some and I was always worried about the work flow continuing than the details for the actual move.

Curious to see what comes about from this.

This may be a great idea. Moves are very stressful and in a business atmosphere I think many would love to have moves managed!

Great idea! Not sure in how far all could be done virtually, but definitely a service I would recommend to clients. Moves are stressful and to leave everything in one pair of hands would be fantastic!

I love this idea! Many years ago I was working for a large Civil Engineer company and my supervisor was involved in the logistics of the company move. She was the most unorganized organized person I know! If you knew her you would love her too. To this day I reflect back and admire the ease and practically painless organization of the move.
I would think there is a great need for it and very duable! Kind of like a party planner... on a larger scale!?
How exciting!
