As a new VA I'm curious as to what is most often requested from you by your clients. What is your most requested service? Is it bookkeeping, social media, data entry, word processing..... Thanks for your feedback!

Hi Lee,

My skills are of the administrative type and researching but I'm definitely pushing myself into the other areas which is kinda scary as I want to provide a great product but will be learning as I provide.

My main advertising thrust is transcription, but I will do word processing, data entry for mailing lists, etc. If someone called for bookkeeping/accounting, I normally would turn it down, but my husband said to forward them to him. He does taxes, has an accounting degree, etc, and actually came up with a business name for himself, but never pursued it.

All types of business. Some are looking for info about their competitors, some are looking to explore the market for a new product or service, and some are looking for info they know is out there, somewhere on the Internet and they want you to find it so they can use it for their articles, blogs, books.

I think people with an accounting background have a great advantage. I'm not comfortable with accounting (although it was what I originally went to college for) so I'll be looking for sub-contractors when the time comes.

The most requests I have had are for both taxes and website design. I hate taxes...but learning web design. I havent had the luxury of learning as I go...most people want proof of what I know experience..education...which sucks ( but those of you that can...I am sooo jelous). But I can completely see there point to.
