A short welcome message comes on it, and I used that to try it out - and probably will again. When Express Scribe downloaded, it also let me download a trial of Express Dictate, which I'd like to use to dictate something to practice transcribing; however I need to get a microphone first. There were several places to download on their site so I think where I downloaded it did not give me the trial of Express Dictate. I will go back and get it and I guess order thew microphone next. As for the headset. I have the middle priced one. It's comfortable and cuts out a lot of the surrounding noise. The cheaper ones, well you get what you pay for.
