Default Calendar Management
I am not sure if I am posting in the correct spot.... and this may sound like a stupid question, but....

What exactly is calender management and what do you do for the client? I am seen discussions about google calender and such, so I am just curious!!

Calendar management is basically an admin who would manage a boss's calendar on his/her behalf. For example, you would arrange meetings, reschedule them, or cancel them, etc. Does that make sense?

Oh yes now it does. So, I have seen people mention google calender... is this the best one and how do you share the calenders with your clients to be able to manage and reschedule?

I also do calendar management for one of my clients, but a different kind of calendar management (not the company owner's personal meeting schedule). I manage the company website calendar and several other online website calendars where they post their network meeting information.

Thanks for the information Phyllis. I have heard of google, but not "Airset". I will check this out as calendar management for my clients is becoming a popular request. I need to learn how to streamline this quickly.

I only have one client who I still manage their calendar and website events as well. We use Google Calendar since it syncs well with iCal and Outlook.

Not only do I schedule upcoming events, I schedule her complete day and make sure her daily agenda is emailed to her the day before.

THis is an interesting concept. I quite fancy offering calendar management but have also wondered about the logistics. You've reminded me that I need to look into this a bit more.

I like the definition Kathya gave for calendar management. It sounds like a service I can add to my business.

Calendar management is something that I haven't previously considered offering. Now that I know more about it, I definitely want to offer this service to my clients.

I've done client appointment scheduling for a nutritionist on Google calendar, very easy.

I use google cal similarly to how Dawn uses it; scheduling upcoming events, daily tasks/booking appointments etc. Instead of emailing I send a quick text in the morning or night before letting them know the cal is up to date (due to be synched with their mobile calendar) for the week or day or whatever and maybe touch on some major updates. Many small business owners have great ideas and products but just need a little extra help managing their time, that's what calendar management is all about

I will definitely be adding this to my services. I've been an assistant for years, but find for most people "calendar management" comes easy. Just be sure you know how long your client's appts should usually take, and don't forget about travel time, etc. (something often overlooked)
