I am currently licensed as a producer for property & casualty and life and health in Missouri. I have been working on my business plan and plan on making one of my niche markets insurance agents. Right now I have a pretty basic idea of what services I can offer. Database creation and management are at the top of my list. Does anyone offer any other services? Even though I am licensed, I would like to stay away from the actual sales process.

Yes, I am currently assisting an Insurance agent & his VA as well. Some things I assist with...scheduling appointments, making sure apps are filled out correctly via email or fax, retrieving any missing information from apps, entering the data into online application system, submitting information for approval and creating spreadsheets of contacts, leads, accounts and so forth. I agree with the Sales part

I also work in that market as well. Lots of these agents and producers do need a lot of help staying on track, especially the back end of their sales and marketing efforts. As Kena pointed out there is also a lot you can do with assisting agents with their case load, following up on pending requirements etc.

For Doreen and Kena - how do you get access to their paper? do they scan them to you or do you pick them up in person? I worked as an agent and am trying to visualize how our office would have made use of a VA.
