Default Answering Phones - Rethought
Hi All,

I've been reading some of the threads about providing telephone answering services. Have any of you ever outsourced that to a telephone answering company?

Hi there - not sure how we missed this one!
I don't take calls so haven't ever had the need to outsource to a service but I do know other VAs who do - or, rather, who help their clients find a reputable option for answering calls.

Can anyone else jump in here with how you handle this kind of client request?

I know that some VAs have a hard time pricing that type of service in addition to having to be in the office at all times. There is a company out there that is regarded by the VA industry and that is Eliase. For me personally, I do phoning projects, however they are outbound. With two kids and a dog, I can't guarantee that if I call comes in, that I can get to it, much less havea quiet home! When I do phoning projects though, my schedule is always pre-arranged to avoid the interruption.

If I have a client that goes on vacation or is out of the office, I will take forwarded calls. Because my schedule is all over the map, I can't guarantee the 9-5 committment. I'm not sure if you are thinking of offering this type of service, but do give it some thought! HTHs!

Hi,

I know I recommended GotVMail to a potential client and she jumped at it after deciding it was exactly the kind of service she wanted. I also know RingCentral has been recommended by others.

The only other option I can suggest is there is another VA from VANA that specializes in this service. Let me know if you wish her contact information and I can dig it up for you.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the links. It will be good to have the ideas of companies I can refer clients to. I don't want to be tied to my phone.
